The night of the party would arrive here soon. It was only the afternoon and the sun was beginning to fall. Sebastian's and Ramona's feud had ended for the time being even though the next chance they got would be the end for one of them.

Ramona still had so much to do; organized the young master's documents, trim the bushes outside, feed Todo, do the laundry and more. It's all because of that selfish demon she had so many chores. Sebastian had told her to do these things while he went to the market. She knew if she complained or showed any whining to him, he'd think of her unfit to be a Phantomhive maid and tell Ciel, making her look unreliable. She had no choice and accepted her duties as Ciel's maid.

In a matter of three hours, her breathing was a little ragged because of all the energy she had used. Hearing the front door open she quickly sped towards the entrance. Reaching the stairs and seeing the disgusting demon, she snorted and walked towards him to help with the groceries. He saw her coming towards him. He gingerly handed all of the grocery bags to her.

"Well since you were going to help with the groceries. Why don't you just take them all?" He smiled and departed from her. Sebastian really knew how to irritate Ramona. After putting the groceries away she was told by Mey-Rin that the party would be starting in an hour and that they needed to get her ready. Quickly heading towards her room did they see Ciel wearing his blue somewhat childish suit. He was definitely dressed for the party. Looking at Ramona he looked a little irritated.

"Ramona, you're already supposed to be ready. The party starts in half an hour." HALF AND HOUR!, Ramona thought. Looking at the stupid butler she saw him smile in amusement. He was the one who did this! What a selfish little piece of-, before Ramona could finish her thought an idea struck her. She smirked only for a second, long enough for Sebastian to catch it. Ramona then bowed to the master in an apology, her hair siding and falling on both sides of her neck and shoulders.

"I'm terribly sorry for the inconvenience but I was just thinking. Since Lady Elizabeth will be here soon, why don't you and that stupid, lying, selfish, butler Sebastian go on ahead and we will meet you there. It will give you some time for yourself before you have to start dancing with Elizabeth." Ramona smiled at the young master. He thought of her plan for a second, but then thinking of Liz twirling him around on the dance floor he sighted and agreed.

While Ciel and Sebastian were walking away from Ramona and Mey-Rin, Sebastian turned around to see Ramona making that "Ha, in your face" sort of expression. His plan had indefinitely back fired on him. Ramona always made his murderous instincts want to kick in.

The carriage ride was silent until Ciel brought up a very un-amusing subject. "You seem to be getting along with Ramona. It will be good for you to make a friendly relationship with someone other than a cat." Sebastian frowning looked at his young master. Did his actuations make any sense? Not in the least.

"I do have to give her credit for being the perfect maid for the Phantomhive residence but the way she acts towards other is just too-"

"Perfect? She was of course my aunts servant. I wouldn't expect Ramona to be as good as you are being my butler but as her being my maid, that's a different topic." Was he praising her, Sebastian thought. She may be a guardian angel, but she perfect at everything.

Getting out of the carriage and entering the house of Lord Aleister Chamber, they are greeted by many guests, including Lau who he starts a conversation with. Each person and or partner is always seen going down the long red carpeted stairs, waving and smiling.

"Were could those girls be?" Ciel asked irritably. Sebastian just looked at the young master and smiled. Was his master that worried for both of them? This child was too -, before Sebastian could complete his thought he could sense Ramona getting closer. Turning around and looking up the grand stairs, there she was. She wore her hair up in a night blue bow and her dress was the color of raven blue. She wore straps that hanged from her shoulders and the dress showed her curves from the waist up. The dress puffed out a little from her waist down and the ends of it almost touched the ground where her high heels were visible. Her back was almost bear except for a few straps crossing each other. Her gloves were a dark blue silk and around her neck was a blue ribbon.

She walked down the red carpeted stairs with such confidence. All the men looked at her with awe. Sebastian's eyes ran up and down Ramona, her skin was so fair and her lashes were so lushes. The only makeup she wore was a small amount of blue eye shadow and just a tint of red lip gloss. Why would she choose to be a maid out of all things, Sebastian thought. She was the perfect lady.

When she saw both Ciel and Sebastian she gasped at Sebastian's appearance. As his eyes went up and down her, so did hers. He wasn't wearing his butler outfit and instead wore a black suite with a black tie. His hair was parted just in the right way to make the shape of his face stand out. Any women would swoon over him, even Ramona felt a little faint being around the demon. His eyes were the only real color; tonight they were a bright crimson. They were full of, wanting?

"CIEL!" a shout was heard from behind Ramona. Ramona and Sebastian, realizing they were steadily gazing into each other's eyes, hastily looked away. Lady Elizabeth ran towards them and hugged Ciel. Ciel fighting for air tried to get her off of him.

"Elizabeth, get off of me!?" Ciel aggressively whispered to her. Realizing what she was doing she let go of Ciel, blushed, and said sorry. Seeing her expression, Ciel gave an exasperated sigh and asked her to dance. The happy expression came back on her face and she tugged Ciel to the dance floor which left Ramona and Sebastian alone.

"You look very beautiful tonight, Lady Ramona. Like the night sky and the moon" Sebastian bowed to Ramon. It was only polite to do so as the gentleman. She was a little surprised at his words and quickly, ladylike, curtsied for him.

"Thank you, and to you the same – I mean you don't look like the moon and you aren't beautiful -I mean you look handsome- I mean, oh never mind! You can watch the master; I'm going out for some fresh air." Ramona stammered. She was not ready for Sebastian's kind words that sounded like velvet. He had actually complimented her non-sarcastically. He hated her, and she need not show him her weak side. Her cheeks were starting to change from her usual skin tone to pink. Sebastian just smirked at what had just happened. Watching her move through the crowd towards the garden he decided to follow her. Was she really that surprised at what he had just said?

Besides it was just a compliment
